Demo content — Cloverwell Lawn & Landscape is a fictional company. This site is a demo of the KeoCodes Site Engine: the people, prices, reviews, addresses and photos stand in for a real company's, and nothing sent from here reaches anybody.

Our crews visit the same yards on the same day every week. A few small habits on your end make each visit faster, safer and more thorough. None of this is required. It just helps.

The night before

  • Bring pets inside. Our crews won't enter a yard with a dog loose, however friendly. If your dog is out when we arrive, we'll mow the front, skip the back and note it in your visit report.
  • Pick up toys, balls, hoses and garden tools. Mowers throw small objects, and a hose under a mower deck is a bad day for both. Anything we have to move, we put on the patio or porch.
  • Pick up after the dog. It's not glamorous, but mowing over it spreads it around the lawn.
  • Move patio furniture and planters off the grass if you'd like those spots mowed.
  • Turn off the sprinklers the night before a mow, or set the zone to skip that morning. Wet grass cuts poorly and clumps.

Gates

On visit day, please leave gates to mowed areas unlatched, or latched in a way we can open from outside. Standard mowers need about 36 inches of gate width.

If a gate is locked when we arrive, we'll mow what we can reach, skip the rest and tell you in your visit report. We'll catch up on the next visit at no extra charge.

Mark what we can't see

Tell us — or mark with a small flag — anything in the lawn that a mower or aerator could damage:

  • Sprinkler heads, especially low or recessed ones
  • Invisible pet fence wires and their boundary flags
  • New plantings, seeded areas or bulbs you've just put in
  • Low-voltage landscape lighting cables
  • Septic access lids or anything else just under the surface

We note everything you tell us on your account so every member of your crew knows about it, not just the person who heard it first.

Before aeration visits

Core aeration pulls 3-inch plugs from the lawn, so marking really matters before those visits. We'll remind you by portal notice a few days ahead, and we bring flags if you need them. Anything unmarked, we steer around if we can see it and skip if we can't.

Rain days

We don't mow soaked lawns. It leaves ruts and tears the grass. After heavy rain, we'll push your visit back a few hours or to the next day and send a portal notice. Light rain usually doesn't stop us.

Do I need to be home?

No. Most of our customers are at work during visits. Your visit report lands in the portal when the crew finishes, with what we did and anything we noticed — a thin patch, signs of grubs, a broken sprinkler head.

If you'd like to talk to the crew, leave a note in the portal by the night before, and your crew lead will look for you or call.

Questions or changes

Need to skip a week, add a service or change your visit day? Send a message in your customer portal under Schedule change, or call the office. We need about two business days' notice for a skip.
